The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky produced by The Macallan Distillery in Scotland. It is aged for 12 years in two types of casks, American oak casks that impart vanilla and coconut notes, and European oak casks that provide hints of raisins, sherry and spice. This double maturation process results in a rich and complex flavor profile. The whisky has a golden amber color and offers aromas of dried fruit, toffee, and oak. On the palate, it is smooth and sweet with flavors of apple, cinnamon, and vanilla, followed by a warming and slightly spicy finish. It has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 43%.
